Abstract
The purification of silica fume by selective flocculation method was studied. The effects of the floatation agent dosage, dispersants, pH and deposition times on the separation efficiency were investigated. When the dosage of sodium oleate was 1 824 g/t, the dosage of PVP was 80 g/t, the system pH was 5.3, and the residence time was 50 min, the purification effect was best.The silica content of the fume arose from 74% to 90.9%.
