  • The capacity of the four isolated strains combined in different ways was examined in this study. The experimental results show that when the mixture of Z5 and Z8 are adopted, the removal rate of PVA increases by around 22%, and reaches the maximum of 52.07% in one week. Then the mixed strains are mutated by ultraviolet irradiation and the characteristics are researched through orthogonal test. The results show that the mutated mixed strains eradicate 91.46% of PVA in one week. The carbon source concentration has the most significant impact on the activity of the enzyme. The growth of the mutated strains is optimal under the conditions: pH 7, the concentration of carbon source of 1.5 g/L, nitrogen source of 0.6 g/L and NaCl of 1.5 g/L.
