Abstract
Through monitoring the noise level alongside the green belts on Liuchang Road in Liuzhou in summer and winter, the differentiations of noise reduction effect among all arbor, arbor+shrub and all shrub have been studied. The results showed that green belts can reduce traffic noise to some extent to meet the standard requirements, but different configurations have different noise reduction effect. In terms of seasons, the effect of noise-reduction in summer is more remarkable than the effect in winter. The arbor+shrub type shows little difference in noise reduction effect. Noise-reduction difference value of the all shrub type is about 2.24 to 3.16 dB in summer and winter. In summer, noise-reduction noise value of the all arbor type is 3.84 dB higher than that in winter. Within the scope of 30 m green belts, noise reduction effect is stable between 0 and 10 m.
