Recovery process of glass substrate from liquid crystal display

  • Primary research of glass substrate recovery of wasted LCD was investigated by utilizing inorganic solution. According to treatment difficulty, wasted LCD was divided into three kinds: the upper glass substrate, which contain resin black matrix film, can be treated by sodium hydroxide solution. Another upper glass substrate, which contain chromium black matrix film and the lower glass substrates, can be treated by sodium hydroxide solution firstly to remove polarizing films, and then dipped in hydrofluoric acid solution. The results show that the clean glass substrate can be rapidly obtained by using inorganic solution treatment technique. The technique is simple and low-costed.
