  • As a solid waste generated by circulating fluidized bed combustion, circulating fluidized bed combustion fly ash (CFBA) has characteristics of self-harding, pozzolanic activity and expansibility. In this study, CFBA was used to prepare asphalt concrete mixtures with mineral powder replacement ratio of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, respectively. The properties of these asphalt concretes were researched through Marshall tests, and the mechanism was also analyzed. Results showed that asphalt mixture with different percentages of CFBA could meet the demand of the current standard in certain asphalt-aggregate ratio range. Compared with the limestone dust asphalt mixture, CFBA asphalt mixture had better water stability and resistance to rutting at the same compaction degree.
