Abstract: Hydrolytic acidification-aerobic (SBR) process and anaerobic (UASB)-aerobic (SBR) process were separately used for the study on the biodegradability of dacron short fibers wastewater. When using hydrolytic acidification-SBR process, the COD removal efficiency is around 80% with influent COD of 1 900 mg/L. When using UASB-SBR process, the COD removal efficiency could reach up to 96% and the effluent COD concentration is less than 100 mg/L with influent COD of 2 700 mg/L. The experimental results shows that anaerobic-aerobic process is more suitable for treating dacron short fibers wastewater and the effects are good.
