  • Reactive turquoise blue KN-G (RTB) adsorption on aerobic sludge (AS) was studied through tests. It was found that the adsorption isotherm of RTB on AS satisfied both Langmuir and Freundlich models, while an evaluation on both accuratity and stability indicates that the Freundlich equation was the best. The adsorption of RTB on AS was analyzed using pseudo first-order, pseudo second-order adsorption and intrapartical diffusion kinetic models, and the pseudo second-order kinetic model could best describe the adsorption. The impacts of pH on RTB adsorption were also investigated. The experimental results indicated that the initial pH value was the important parameter affecting the adsorption of RTB, and the adsorption capacity of aerobic sludge decreased with the increase of pH value.

Abstract: Reactive turquoise blue KN-G (RTB) adsorption on aerobic sludge (AS) was studied through tests.
