  • The laboratoryscale study was carried out on the cultivation and operational performance of aerobic granule sludge in a SBR with domestic wastewater at ambient temperature, and with activated sludge taken from a wastewater treatment Plant in Suzhou as the raw sludge feed. The results showed that the greywhite aerobic granule sludge of 4~8 mm in diameter was formed after more than 100 day’s operation; and low COD, ammonium nitrogen and phosphorus efficient removal of granule sludge cultivated by domestic wastewater were obtained.
