Abstract: The algae in the eutrophication water was a enrichment organ of nitrogen and phosphor. The total contents of nitrogen, total phosphor, dissociative phosphor and organic matter in the algae sample collected from Lake Taihu were 98.87 g/kg,3.25 g/kg,0.21 g/kg and 95.65%,respectively. In the sediment, with the temperature increasing, the miner alization period of the algae was shortened. At the same time, the intensity that the algae released N,P to the water enhanced. But in different areas, the intensity was different evidently. It was proven that algae salvage is an effective way to remove nitrogen and phosphor from water body.
