  • The complete mixture anaerobic digestion experiments of cattle manure with different total solid contents(2%, 6%, 10%and 14%) were done in 10 L glass pot at pH 7.0 and normal temperature. The pH, VFA (volatile fatty acid), COD and biogas yield during the process of anaerobic digestion were measured as the reaction system was running during 48 days. The results showed that the total solid(TS) was a key factor in the anaerobic digestion process. The gas volume was the largest when the total solid was adjusted to 10%. Meantime, the removal rate of COD was 24.6%, and methane content in gas was 56.1%.
