  • Imidazolebased hydrophobic ionic liquid [omim]PF6 was synthesized with oil bath. This experiment investigated extraction of oilfield wastewater with the ionic liquid, and inspected the effects of extraction time, the amount of ionic liquid and the pH value on the extraction result. The experiment indicated that extraction equilibrium could be reached within 15 minutes, and that the COD removal rate of oilfield wastewater would decrease when the pH value increased. At the same time, the effect of renewable ionic liquids treatment on oilfield wastewater treatment was discussed and it was found that the number of recycles for ionic liquids did not affect their ability of treating wastewater.
