  • The water environment characteristics of a new artificial lake were studied,by analyzing the characteristics and tendency of ten environmental factors,which were water temperature, DO, SD, pH, TN, TP, CODMn, Chla, algae and hydrodynamic condition.The experimental results showed that,in the incipient stage, the accumulation of nutrients such as TN,TP were in the peak period and phosphorus was the restrictive factor of algal growth by calculating the nitrogen phosphorus ratio and analyzing correlation. The artificial lake is basically in a state of quasistatic (velocity of flow was smaller than 0.1 m/s),providing advantageous conditions for algal growth. Algae species and density vary with time,and appear peak value,the main species were chlorophyta and cyanophyta during the investigation stage. Chlorophylla was always in the high level,which had a significant correlation with TP,SD,pH and DO,respectively.
