Abstract: Orthogonal experiment design was adopted to optimize the treatment of emulsion wastewater by modified fly ash and complex coagulant PSFA from fly ash. The result shows that while adding modified fly ash (25 g) and PSFA (6~8 g) into wastewater (500 mL) under a value of pH 7.0, and stirring for 10~15 min, the removal rate of COD and oil could reach to 85.4% and 50.3%, respectively. Comparing to the traditional method (CaCl2+PFS+PAM), this new process is more effective with better sedimentation rate and more economical running cost.
