  • Owing to the problem of residuals of chemical composition and environmental pollution caused by traditional chemical water treatment, new water treatment technologies should be developed imminently. In present study, non-thermal plasma technology was introduced to investigate sterilization effect against E-coli in water. Experiments had been performed with different electrical voltage, water depth, gases and electrode fins. The results showed that non-thermal plasma had good sterilization effect and can be used conveniently, fast, safely and without residual left. Thus the non-thermal plasma technology is suitable for sterilizing drinking water or sewage.

In present study, non-thermal plasma technology was introduced to investigate sterilization effect against E-coli in water. Experiments had been performed with different electrical voltage, water depth, gases and electrode fins. The results showed that non-thermal plasma had good sterilization effect and can be used conveniently, fast, safely and without residual left. Thus the non-thermal plasma technology is suitable for sterilizing drinking water or sewage.
