  • The concentrated brine was added with magnesia to absorb sulfur dioxide. The effects of dosage, gas flow rate and temperature were studied. Experiments show that magnesia can greatly improve the removal efficiency of sulfur dioxide. The best absorption effect acquires at 25℃. The economical and rational dosage of magnesia is 0.5 g/L. The adsorption capacity is 1 901.38 mg/L under the best conditions, which is 3~6 times of seawater desulfurization.
