  • In this paper, the feasibility of domestic sewage treatment by Poisonous buttercup and Dock in soilless culture was studied. Results shows that both the two plants can remove TN, TP efficiently, while the COD removal efficiency can reach to 45% and 50%. Compared with unitary plant system, Poisonous buttercup-Dock system showed high removal efficiencies of TP and COD. It is concluded that treatment of domestic sewage by Poisonous buttercup and Dock is effective and both plants can be used in cold area wetland.They can also extend the wetland’s work period.
