  • The research is on the biodegradation of the hoggery’s wastewater before the hanging of the microbes to domesticate the activated sludge in a sequencing batch biofilm reactor (SBBR).The results show that the removal rates of COD and NH3-N achieved 85% and 74% respectively at the end of the acclimation period. It also analyses some abnormal phenomenons such as sludge bulking, floating and foam problems in the acclimation process and proposes the corresponding measures.
