  • The removal of COD of preserved szechuan pickle wastewater through Fentonlike reagents under ultraviolet light was investigated. The factors influencing COD removal rate such as lighting time, initial pH value and the dosage of H2O2 and FeCl3·6H2O were discussed. The results indicates that when lighting time is 60 minutes, the initial pH value is 3, H2O2 (30%) dosage is 120% theoretical calculation value and c0(H2O2)∶c0[Fe(Ⅲ)]=11.6∶1.0, the removal rate of COD can reach the best effect 79%. Under the same amount of H2O2, removal rate of COD increases with increasing H2O2 division.
