  • Without considering the river flow velocity and flow rate distribution, the finite element method can be used to solve the water quality distribution directly by river basin characteristics. Accumulative flow curve can be solved by grapgical construction traditionaly,but this method must cost a mass of energy and time.This paper discussed the application of Lagrange Interpolation in numerical simulation of two-dimensional complicated river sections. Through numerical calculation of the influences of wastewater drainage in three gorges reservoir on Changshou section, and comparison between the graphical construction and interpolation, the feasibility and advantages of this method were verified.
