Abstract: 2 strains of fungi, with high decolorizing ability of active red M-3BE were isolated from the environment. According to the morphological characteristics and sequence analysis of 26S rDNA, the strains were identified as Fusarium oxysporum and Geosmithia viridis. The decolorization rate of 50 mg/L M-3BE by F. oxysporum could reach 96% within 24 h, and that of G. viridis′s was 82% within 36 h. Detection results of decolorizing enzyme system indicated that F. oxysporum could produce two enzymes, Lip and MnP, however G. viridis only one enzyme, LiP. Extensive decolorization by F. oxysporu(16%~100%) and G. viridis(83.3%~100%) was obtained with other seven dyes.
