  • Parameters of the guiding vane in the spiral up flow reactor (SUFR) system were the important technologic factors. The method of grey relational entropy was used to analyze nitrification and phosphorus uptake in the aerobic zone of the SUFR system. The results showed that the rotational speed,the pitch angle of the guiding vane,d/D and the layers of multistage vane played important roles in the aerobic zone. And the decreasing effect sequence of the four factors of the nitrification was: the rotational speed>the layers of multistage vane>the pitch angle of the guiding vane>d/D. The decreasing effect sequence of the four factors of the phosphorus removal was: the rotational speed>the pitch angle of the guiding vane>the layers of multistage vane>d/D.

Abstract: Parameters of the guiding vane in the spiral up flow reactor (SUFR) system were the important technologic factors.
