  • Diesel exhaust particulates seriously pollute the environment. One effective way to abate particulate pollution is to research and develop filtration techniques for particulates from diesel emission. Conductive foam ceramics covered with short fibre on its surface was used as filtering element of filter in the study. The filtration efficiency for diesel exhaust particulates was 90%. Filter was regenerated in situ with supplying power. Filtration efficiency didn’t decrease after regeneration. The filtration mechanism of conductive foam ceramics covered with short fibre was discussed.
