  • Anaerobic baffle reactor(ABR)was used for slaughterhouse wastewater treatment. Low influent load was used to culture sludge.The result showed that the starting process was quick, and granulated active sludge could be obtained;at common temperature,when hydraulic retention time was 20 h,organic loading was 2.5 kg COD/m3·d,the COD removal efficiency was 94%,which was the best COD removal efficiency;when the concentration of influent increased from 1 500 mg/L to 3 200 mg/L,COD removal efficiencies from 91% dropped to 86%,only drop 5%,this showed that ABR is very stable to shock load.
