  • The total phosphorus(TP) and turbidity removal efficiency in drinking water treatment by activated alumina and other seven filter materials were studied, and comparison and analysis were carried out. It was shown that dissolved total phosphorus(DTP) removal efficiency by activated alumina was much better than other seven filter materials, but it did not excel others for particle phosphorus(PP) removal. The phosphorus removal efficiency of activated alumina is excellent because its absorption capacity for TDP is great. The turbidity removal efficiency of activated alumina is parallel to those of other seven filter materials.
